Minnesota is Nice!

The last couple weeks have flown by.  I have been in Marquette, Michigan working at Farmer Q’s Market selling some awesome fresh fruits and veggies, and of course, training hard.  Then last Wednesday I drove down to my hometown, Hastings, Minnesota.  I don’t get the chance to rollerski in Hastings very much, but it is an awesome place to train.  I love it!  It is also a great to visit my parents.  I have been eating great food at my mom’s house, and I was at my Dad’s house in Brooklyn Park over the weekend and experienced the Minneapolis Farmer’s Market.  It was HUGE!  I got some delicious fresh produce and some farm fresh pork.

I am flying out to Lake Placid, New York on Wednesday morning for another training camp.  (I want to thank my dad’s boss, Stephen Hollinshead for donating his frequent flyer miles to get this plane ticket… THANKS STEVE!!!)  I’m looking forward to another chance to do some tough training with some fast skiers from all over the country!

welcome!

First of all, welcome to my new website!  Thanks for checking it out!

I just returned back to Marquette from Park City, Utah and Whistler, Canada for a U.S. Ski Team Testing and Training Camp.  We spent 3 tough days in testing Park City to make sure our training is taking us in the right direction.  We had a threshold and a VO2max test on the treadmill, and a high tech strength test.  We also had our yearly physicals and a body comp test before we jumped on a plane and headed up to the 2010 Olympic Site, Whistler!  We spent the next 10 days training extremely hard on the Olympic Venue, making it our own so when the Olympics roll around we will feel right at home.  It was a great opportunity for me to get some great coaching and workouts with some of the best skiers in the world!!!
